Trips & Activities

Events during Orientation:

Outdoor picnic at Bald Eagle State Park 8/24, Saturday 10:30-3:30 pm
– a picnic lunch, a beautiful beach, mountain lake, a mountain to view, a boat to ride!! (hopefully), volleyball, badminton, bocci, & more games (stay longer if you want to!)

Niagara Falls TRIP Aug. 30 -to- Sept. 1, 2019
Friday 3:00 pm Aug. 30 -to- Sunday 5:00 pm Sept. 1
– Join us for an exciting adventure to one of the 8 Natural Wonders of the World!
– Stay in an American home for 2 nights
– A whole day at the falls. Ride a boat up to the falls, stand under it or other options.
– Only $60. But register soon. It will fill up fast.

Tour of State College
(Date depends on student’s request.  A group of at least 4 is required. Takes 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on your interest.)
– Drive to the key landmarks in town, find international food/grocery stores,  Walmart, TGIF, Kohls, Wegmans, Trader Joes, Bed Bath & Beyond stores, discover used furniture stores & used clothing stores.

All events start at Pattee Library entrance.  Wait in front of the library front doors.  Ride pickup and drop off there.  Return times are estimates.

BIG TRIPS during Fall Semester

TRIP to Niagara Falls — August 30- Sept. 1 (Labor Day weekend so you have no classes on Monday, Sept. 2) — Stay over night in an American home. (Link is not yet created)

TRIP to see the Amish in Lancaster, PA plus Outlet Shopping, an Outdoor Barn Party, Stay overnight in an American home and attend a church service on Sunday morning — Oct. 19-20, Saturday-Sunday (Link is not yet created)


Throughout the year, we typically do" trips to:
Washington DC, Amish, Outlet Shopping, Lancaster, Myrtle Beach, Pittsburgh, Rickett’s Glen State Park, Elk State Park, camping, bicycling & more!

ACTIVITIES: various hikes, demonstration wedding, bowling, miniature golf, bonfires, star gazing, Super Bowl Party, & more!
