Tour Amish community & and Bike Ride in Lancaster, PA

Have you heard about the Amish? These are a group of people who came to America from Germany in the early 1700s.  They live simple lives - not driving cars, not using electricity, wearing simple, plain colored clothing, only attending formal education until the 8th grade - and their first language is not English, it's Pennsylvania German.

On Saturday morning, we will drive around the Amish area of Lancaster and learn about the history and traditions of the Amish people.  We'll stop for lunch as we travel about.  After lunch we'll take a bike ride (a bicycle will be provided for you) on a nearby bike trail and end the day with dinner provided by our friends at Grace Baptist Church.

Saturday night you'll spend the night with American host families from Grace Baptist Church and then visit the church on Sunday morning and experience a Sunday school class where you will learn about Business Ethics.

After the Sunday school class we will attend an American church service and then say good by to our host families.  Afterward we'll stop at a nearby Chinese buffet for lunch and head then head back to State College.
