Dr. Rob Carter, The Non-Mythical Adam and Eve

The Non-Mythical Adam and Eve (Adam & Eve were real people and science proves it!)

Many people believe science has proven that Adam and Eve never existed. In this presentation, Dr. Carter (PhD Marine Biology, University of Miami) digs into the science of genetics, using the most up-to-date information, to show how Adam and Eve are completely consistent with the data. Instead of discrediting Genesis, modern science affirms that we came from just two ancestors who lived only a few thousand years ago

6:15pm - A Free Dinner is served in the Garden Room of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center

7:00pm - Dr. Carter's presentation begins

A short ride to the nearby town of Lemont takes us to the base of Mt. Nittany.  A steady uphill walk of about 45 minutes (that may have you breathing hard at times) to the top provides a panoramic view of Penn State.  The hike back down also has some rugged rocky sections and takes only about 20 minutes.  For the hike you should wear comfortable walking shoes, hiking shoes/boots, or a sturdy pair of sneakers, as one section of the trail will be quite rugged.  In addition, even though we will be in the shade most of the time, be sure to bring along a bottle of water. Registration required here.

Furniture Give-Away

(Also advertised as the Garage Give-Away)

New students are invited to browse and take home used furniture and household items for FREE!  We will help you transport large pieces of furniture back to your apartment. Plan to arrive on time or earlier as large lines have formed in the past.  1250 University Dr.  It's best to arrive by 8:00 am, as the doors open at 8:30am and things move very quickly.

Items are freely donated by people in the community to help new international students and scholars who have very little get started here in State College.  We are International Christian Fellowship and we are pleased to help share these resources with you.  The items include FURNITURE like desks, tables, chairs, beds, couches, lamps, carpet plus KITCHEN items like dishes, pots and pans, utensils, small electrical appliances and more plus OTHER items like sheets, towels and many more items.

WHO is INVITED?   This is for NEW international students and scholars or for those who are moving off campus for the FIRST TIME this semester.  This is NOT for internationals who have been at State College for 1 or more years.  Why?  Because after being here for a year, you have friends, you have time to get new or used furniture.  The new arrivals have no items so they need the most help.  If you are not a new student, please help new students by bringing them to this event and help them find items they need.
